Craig Jackson is also an accomplished musician having studied Music Theory and Composition at the University of Houston, Eastfield College, and North Texas State University.

He has toured with the American National Touring Company of "Jesus Christ Superstar" as drummer/timpanist, and as keyboardist/sound engineer for "Wildwood".

He performed on keyboards, flutes, and congas with "Iribana", at the Caribbean entertainment club Caribana.

He has had several jazz groups including the Cracker Jack Quartet, Cracker Jack Quintet, and CATCH-22 , and has performed as a solo jazz pianist/vocalist for dozens of restaurants and social events in the Houston area.

When not on duty at CNN in Washington, D. C., you might catch his kool, jazzy sound in local hotels and restaurants.
